On August 16, 2016 ONE Feltonville CCDC (along with Feltonville Town Watch) will celebrate two years of service to the Feltonville neighborhood. ONE Feltonville grew out of Community Policing efforts that began at Feltonville Recreation Center in 2014 when a series of shootings provoked 25th Police District Commanding Officer Michael Cram to hold a series of “Community Meetings”. In July of 2014, a Town Watch was formed and trained, another “Town Watch” class was trained in August of 2015. ONE Feltonville was ‘officially’ formed by a unanimous voice-vote from the membership assembled on August 16th in 2014 at the Recreation Center.
In June of 2015, after Uniting with Feltonville United Neighbors, ONE Feltonville made Iglesia Adventista Del Septimo Dia at 200 E Wyoming Avenue the “Home” meeting location, and Grace Church of Feltonville, 123 E Wyoming Avenue became the host and “Home” of Feltonville Town Watch.
The “Annual Meeting” is mandated by the By-Laws of ONE Feltonville CCDC (Christian Community Development Corporation) and will include nominations and appointment of Steering Committee/Leadership Team members and a “Keynote Address” as well as a “State of the Community” address by the Lead Organizer, Facilitator. A “pot luck” shared community dinner will also be served. The entire community is invited to attend.
Interested speakers and/or participants are invited to contact ONE Feltonville CCDC and Town Watch at 267.850.2933 or email ONE.Feltonville@gmail.com
