We seek a highly motivated person in the fields of education, psychology, public health or related field to lead our education program, Puentes Hacia el Futuro . This coordinator position provides an unparalleled opportunity to work and learn at both the intersections of research, action, and social justice and at the forefront of urban education. The Coordinator will engage with issues of education and equality in a community-based, multilingual, and transnational context, further establishing them
as an expert in their field.

Education at Puentes de Salud
Puentes Hacia el Futuro (Bridges Towards the Future) is the education branch of Puentes de Salud, which serves the rapidly growing Latino immigrant community of South Philadelphia and enhances community wellness through an integrated approach to health, education, and empowerment. Puentes Hacia el Futuro is predicated upon the well-evidenced fact that education is inextricably tied to the health of individuals and communities. Our mission is to improve the educational achievement of children in our immigrant community to improve long-term health outcomes.

Requirements
This position is available to a third year undergraduate or higher with at least 60 credit units. We will consider undergraduate students with significant relevant experience and qualifications. We are seeking a highly motivated, independent person with excellent interpersonal skills that is dedicated to supporting the education, health, and wellness of immigrant children. Advanced level/fluency of Spanish is required.

Hours: 20-30 hours per week
Position Type: Part-time
Position Schedule: Coordinator must be available Monday-Thursday, 2pm-5:30pm during the academic year, flexible schedule outside of academic year
Position Length: Contingent upon funding
