POSITION OVERVIEW
What you need to know about your role at Spark
Reporting to the Director of External Relations (DER), the Development Coordinator (DC) will support development-related work for the Philadelphia office, including: fueling the fundraising pipeline as lead prospect researcher and funding proposal writer, supporting the cultivation of donor prospects, oversight of development operations, and supporting Spark Philadelphia communications, specifically social media. The DC should have a strong work ethic and be results oriented, collaborative, highly organized, detail-oriented, customer focused, and able to excel in a fast-paced environment.

• Salary: Low to mid $30’s, commensurate with experience.
• Health Benefits: Full health coverage is provided, including medical, dental and vision no more 30 days after an employee’s first day. Spark covers up to 100% of monthly premiums, and 50% of the monthly premiums for dependents. Employee-funded flexible spending accounts for health and dependent care are offered. A life insurance policy providing $50,000 of coverage is also included.

• Retirement Benefits: For all contributions through Spark’s current 401K plan, Spark will match retirement contributions dollar-for-dollar up to 3% of total salary.

QUALIFICATIONS
What it takes to be a member of the Spark team
• 2-3 years relevant fundraising or marketing experience; for-profit and campaign experience welcomed;
• Results-focused, highly organized self-starter who works effectively in teams and independently;
• Ability to confidently manage a high-volume, deadline-driven workload with poise and optimism;
• Superior writing skills, including proven grant writing track record preferred;
• Exemplary time management and organization skills; analytical skills a plus;
• Proficiency in Google and Microsoft products (e.g. Drive, Docs, Sheets, Word, and Excel), and managing donor databases (specifically Salesforce experience a plus);
• Social media savvy; experience using marketing campaign tools a plus;
• Bachelor’s degree required;
• Legally eligible to work in the United States; no sponsorship provided.
