Please join Penn Medicine Program for LGBT Health, The Center for Public Health Initiatives and Nurses PUSH in hosting Dr. John R. Blosnich in discussing the prevalence of trauma and adverse childhood events (ACEs) among LGBT individuals and its impact on health disparities.
Dr. Blosnich is a research health scientist with the Center for Health Equity Research and Promotion with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System. His research areas of expertise include interpersonal and self-directed violence among lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) individuals with specific attention to suicidal risk and examining ways that information about patients’ social
determinants of health can be part of adaptive health care systems.
