The Philadelphia Department of Commerce and the North Central Empowerment Zone will now have a rolling application process for the North Central Empowerment Zone Neighborhood Economic Development Impact Grant (NEDIG). The NEDIG funding is a competitive RFP process for interested non-profit and for-profit developers providing gap financing for commercial or industrial real estate development projects. Projects must be new construction or substantial rehabilitation of a vacant building to be eligible (residential projects are not eligible). Development projects must be located within the NCEZ boundaries and show an impact to the neighborhood. The Request for Proposal is attached to this email so please feel free to forward to others that may be interested.
If you have any questions about the Request for Proposals please contact Aiisha G. Herring-Miller, Director of Economic Development Zones, at aiisha.g.herring@phila.gov or by phone at (215)683.2152.
