Philadelphia Diversity Conference (for high schoolers)

Are you a high school student curious about social justice issues? Want an opportunity to learn more about racism, immigration policy, or just simply have a good time and be informed?

Come check out Philadelphia Diversity Conference (PDC) on Saturday, May 30th at La Salle University.

It’s a rare opportunity to network with activists, professionals, and your fellow peers while enjoying food and performances.

Some speakers include:
· Jonathan Luu- a community activist who will explore “The Philosophy of Race”
· Johndi Harrell- a formerly incarcerated activist, who will talk about mass incarceration and institutionalized racism
· Miguel Andrade- a youth organizer from JUNTOS, who will present on immigration policy
· Patrick Lin- a Columbia University graduate student, who will cover issues facing LGBTQ+ people of color
· Sarun Chan- Cambodian Association of Greater Philadelphia, who will address Asian American identity
· Central High- students, who will cover Boko Haram, genocide, apartheid, and healthcare in Africa
