Training focuses on positive youth development and trauma
The PUSH Project of the Philadelphia Department of Human Services and Valley Youth House will be hosting a training on Positive Youth Development and Trauma-Impacted Youth on Friday, October 3rd from 9:30 am to 11:30 am.
Positive Youth Development (PYD) is a research-based practice and policy perspective that emphasizes fostering the innate resilience of young people by providing the supports and opportunities needed to meet their physical and social needs and develop competencies. The training will be led by Jerry Fest, a nationally-recognized leader in PYD and youth engagement.
The training will be held at the Achieving Independence Center at 1415 N. Broad St. Philadelphia.
