Open Arms Adoption Network is seeking two Adoption Coordinators. One will be based in our northeast Philadelphia office and work in PA and DE. The other will be based in Florham Park, NJ and serve NJ and NY. The coordinator provides both direct client service and administrative management duties and serves as an integral member of team. This position will require flexible hours (possibly some evenings and weekends) and travel within the respective states as required by the needs of our client birth mothers and adopting parents.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides information to prospective clients about services available through the Open Arms Adoption Network.
- Counsels prospective adoptive parents.
- Counsels potential birth families and provides case management services. Offers a non-biased counseling environment for clients’ decision making process around options counseling
- Researches resource options for birthparents needing assistance
- Participates in outreach and marketing efforts to expand visibility of Open Arms
- Performs adoption home studies and post placement supervision and case management to adoptive families.
- Utilizes online system for case notes and record retention
- Shares in the facilitation of adoption information meetings and workshops
- Provides counseling and search assistance to returning adopted persons that were adopted thru JFCS as assigned by the Manager.
- Performs other duties as assigned by either the Director or Manager.
