Call for Presenters: Declare! 2014: A Youth Empowerment Skill Share

Make your voice heard! On Friday, August 1, 2014, the Agatston Urban Nutrition Initiative will host its first annual Declare! Youth Skill Share. This youth-led conference will feature organizations from all over Philadelphia and the Northeast sharing and learning from one another.

Join us at Eakins Oval (right outside the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the Rocky steps) from 10am-1pm for community-led workshops, a resource fair, and even a youth run farmers’ market! We would love it if your organization attended.

Interested in presenting a workshop? We are looking for 2 youth keynote speakers, youth-led workshop proposals, and organizations interested in tabling at the resource fair. Submit proposals related to this year’s theme: Declare! Declare yourself and your work, declare your independence, and declare youth voice in Philadelphia If you’re interested, but not exactly sure how you want to declare yourself, let us know and we can help brainstorm with you.
