Internship with Peace Action
Posted by on May 10, 2002
Peace Action has, during Congressional elections since 1996, has succeeded in encouraging the discussion of many issues related to peace. In this time of disinformation, curtailment of civil rights and secret decision making of some U.S. Congressional Structures, it is especially important to make peace issues prominent in 2002 elections.
Therefore, Peace Action-Delaware Valley (with office at 3001 Walnut St.) is most interested in recruiting a summer intern to help with election:
organizing via coalition building
gathering information for Peace Vote Guides
soliciting organizational and individual support for signature ads
training PA members to participate in call-in radio shows
writing articles for local papers and ones across the state
I have a small fund to offer and would likely be able to find a willing member to house a student. If this info is sufficient to recruit someone or would you recommend additional, please let me know. I am anxious to get this request out ASAP, before students leave for home or whatever!
In peace,
