Environmental Education Grant Available from PG&E National Energy Group
Deadline: September 30, 2002
PG&E National Energy Group, headquartered in Bethesda, Maryland, is now accepting applications for its annual Environmental Education Grant Program. Grants ranging from $5,000 to $10,000 will be awarded for innovative programs that encourage and support educating young people about the environment.
Those eligible to apply for grants include elementary, middle, and high schools, and nonprofit organizations that are engaged in educational projects related to earth science, conservation, and the environment. Teacher training programs with hands-on student activities that focus on earth science and environmental education projects can also qualify. Criteria considered in the review process include the environmental benefits, educational value, scientific component, interactive nature, and lasting impact of the project.
