Dear Colleagues,
Join us March 24-26, 2004 in New Orleans, LA
The 2004 Gulf South Summit on Service-Learning, Civic Engagement, and Positive Youth Development.
Hosted by Tulane University, this year’s 2nd annual conference on service-learning, civic engagement and positive youth development continues to unite service-learning practitioners locally in our region and nationally in dialogue.
We invite you to submit proposals for the Gulf South Summit. The Summit purpose is to facilitate a discussion of best practices, share research, and foster a professional network of practitioners in all levels of service-learning as pedagogy. This year, we encourage participation from our k-12 partners as well as higher education institutions and partner organizations. Please share this notice with colleagues in academia, student affairs, and service-learning work within and outside of your organization, school, or higher education institution.
Proposals are due October 10 by electronic submission. See the attached RFP for more details or for more information about the Summit, including keynote speakers, registration materials and awards program, please visit the Summit website at https://www.tulane.edu/~ServLrng/summit. Contact Hunter Phillips for questions regarding proposal submission at (601) 266-6342 or by e-mail at hunter.phillips@usm.edu. I look forward to hearing from you.
