Garden Tenders & City Gardening Series

Lunchtime Mini Forum on Food
Friday, February 9, 12:30-1:30 PM

Many friends and colleagues were unable to attend the Urban Sustainability Forum on Food last month. Through special arrangement with PHS and The White Dog Cafe Foundation, a mini-version of that program will be presented as part of an informal Brown Bag Lunch series. Joy Lawrence from PHS will do a short power point introduction to the topic, and Ann Karlen, Director of the Fair Food project will share some thoughts on how Philadelphians can access and support healthy, local, organic and fair trade food products. The event is free and open to any with an interest. Please bring your lunch. PHS will provide beverages and snacks.

Using creative ideas, horticultural educator Janet Carter will show how to have an attractive container garden using a variety of plants.
