Job description
The Education Coordinator is a member of JEVS Career Strategies/ CS Youth Services department. This requires the coordinator to provide services in varied aspects of educational support such as: test preparation including SAT/ACT/PSAT, aptitude and interest assessments to a broad spectrum of youth. The Coordinator is responsible for participation in the development and execution of programming for youth on a variety of topics. As an Educational Coordinator, the individual is responsible for the daily operations of certain grant funded programs and other assigned services. Reports to the Director of Career Strategies
General Responsibilities:
- Conduct workshops on educational issues; make public presentations related to program goals
- Maintain extensive knowledge of current educational issues, policies and best practices in the field of youth services
- Track and enter data in department database, prepare statistical and narrative reports as required for general youth services and required by funders
- Participate in the planning and delivery of curriculum as it relates to specific programs
- Assign and coordinate staff working on a grant program related to this position such as; maintaining a team approach and assigning responsibilities to colleagues
- Participate in CS staff meetings
- Represent the CS department to youth agencies and schools by attending meetings and other relevant events as it relates to program(s)
- Other responsibilities as they relate to youth services and related department’s goals
