The National Association for Multicultural Education Conference
The National Association for Multicultural Education (NAME) continues to be one of the most important organizations in the country promoting critical, antiracist teaching for social justice. Rethinking Schools editors presented at the first NAME conference in New Orleans, 22 years ago, and this year, we’ll be back with a booth anchored by Rethinking Schools outreach and marketing director Kris Collett, and joined by Rethinking Schools editorial associate, Helen Gym. This year’s theme: “Realizing the Power of Movements Through Multicultural Education.”
We are biased, of course, but this looks like one of the best NAME conferences ever. Check it out.
When: Wed. November 28 to Sat. December 1
Where: DoubleTree Hotel and Conference Center, Philadelphia
