New Website Improves Client Service
NSC’s Translation and Interpretation program provides high quality, timely and professional services to area businesses as well as nonprofit, government and medical care organizations. We are excited to introduce a new website, designed specifically with our customers’ ease-of-use in mind. The website, http://www.nsc-language.org, simplifies submission of projects. Instead of sending requests by phone, fax or email, clients will use the request form found on the website to contact us for any service they might need. The website has already helped to attract new clients (including the ACLU and Migration Policy Institute), while improving the service we provide to our existing clients. Go to http://www.nsc-language.org to check it out, and please contact us for all your translation and interpretation needs!
For those wanting to learn how to be an interpreter, we will offer a 15-hour Introduction to Interpretation training program on April 2nd and 4th (12 to 6 pm) and April 5th (12:30 to 3:30 pm). This training, offered in collaboration with the Health Federation of Philadelphia, is designed to provide a thorough introduction to general interpretation.
Finally, we announce that after more than 30 years at NSC, Dung C.Huynh, Translation and Interpretation Coordinator, retired in February. We thank her for all her hard work, and for maintaining her steadfast commitment to NSC’s mission and clients over the years. Ms. Huynh will be greatly missed. We wish her the best of luck in the future as she travels the world and spends more time with her family. We welcome Benjamin Gamarra to our Translation and Interpretation team. Benjamin is transferring from our Legal Department, where he was Legal Assistant for almost 6 years.
For more information about our translation and interpretation services, or to enroll in training, please contact Juan Lara at jlara@nscphila.org or 215-893-8400.
