USDA 2011 Team Nutrition Grants Now Available – Letter of Intent Due March 15, 2011
The purpose of the Team Nutrition Grants program is for State agencies to expand and enhance their training programs that incorporate and implement the 2010 Dietary Guidelines for Americans and USDA Foods in meals served under the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) or the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP). States must apply Team Nutrition’s three behavior-focused strategies in their proposals, which are centered on providing training and technical assistance, interactive nutrition education, and building community support. These grants are only made to State agencies that administer the NSLP and/or the CACFP; however, it is important for community members to contact their State agencies and encourage them to apply. The letter of intent to apply is due March 15th. Click here for more information.
