The 5 Pillars of Transforming Schools
A Conversation with Elaine Allensworth, co-author of Organizing Schools for Improvement: Lessons from Chicago
Join us for a webinar on Monday, November 15th at 1pm (EST)
In the current political climate, the conversations around education are focused on turning around schools to improve student academic achievement. Our most needy students are not getting the supports and opportunities that they need to be successful in school and life. They spend most of their time in school, so how are we going to make sure that when the school is “turned around,” per current guidance, that it will be able to provide students with the supports and opportunities that are so essential?
We invite you to participate in what is sure to be an interesting conversation!
Join Elaine Allensworth, Senior Director and Chief Research Officer, at the Consortium on Chicago School Research, University of Chicago, for an overview of Organizing Schools for Improvement: Lessons from Chicago, a book she co-authored. She will review the Framework for Essential Supports and the indicators for school improvement, as well as provide some Chicago examples. There will be plenty of time for discussion, so please come with plenty of questions!
