The CDFI Coalition Institute will take place on February 28th and March 1st 2013 at the Capital Hilton in Washington, DC. Registration will open in December.
Regardless of the fact that there will be a second term for President Obama, our voice must be heard in 2013! Congress and the Administration will need to come up with a long range deficit reduction plan that would suspend the sequester and buy legislators more time to come up with a grand bargain on deficit reduction looking at both the spending (appropriations) and the revenue (taxes) side of the equation. Further, it will be critical that CDFIs make their case once the new Congress is sworn in next January.
