Zoom Workshop: Leadership Part 1: Board | Virtual Standards for Excellence Implementation – Apr 24

Posted by PA Association of Nonprofit Organizations (PANO) on April 23, 2024

Each workshop in this series takes a deep dive into one of the six Guiding Principles of the Standards for Excellence, sharing promising practices, legal requirements, and recommendations for meeting the highest standards of nonprofit governance, management, and operations. This session, covering the second Guiding Principle, Leadership Part I (Board), will look at things like board member responsibility, the board-executive partnership, what should be considered when succession planning, and more. PANO’s Standards for Excellence Director, Heather Giampapa, and Standards for Excellence Licensed Consultant, Karen Kispert, will provide lots of tools and resources for putting the information shared into practice, including:

  • Sample Bylaws
  • Sample Board Evaluation
  • Sample Executive Director Evaluation Process Tool
  • Sample Leadership Development and Succession Plan

Plus, there will be plenty of opportunities to learn from the wisdom in the room through small group discussion and peer-to-peer sharing!
