YWCA of Chester Annual Gala
Posted by on October 27, 2006
Dear Friend of the Chester YWCA,
This year represents 92 consecutive years of service to Chester City as a YWCA. We will celebrate the Homecoming of Members and Honor Community Leaders at our annual gala to be held on Friday, December 1, 2006 from 6:00pm to 10:00pm at Kings Mills located at 6000 Pennell Road, Media, PA.
We ask that you take time to review our annual gala literature and consider making an individual contribution, purchasing dinner tickets, and/or placing an Ad in the program book. The YWCA Annual Gala is a major fundraising event for the YWCA each year and we hope you will support us.
Since 1914 the YWCA of Chester has served community needs despite major economic barriers. We take tremendous pride in our programs: health, wellness, and education. However, we need to integrate technology and concepts to enrich and expand our programming, modernize our facility, and enable people in the community to realize their potential. While our membership levels affirm community support, we have needs that far exceed revenue generated through memberships alone. This is where we need your continued support.
With your support, we will maintain our momentum in improving our programs and facilities. We ask that you join the YWCA of Chester as we celebrate 92 years of years to the community. Your contribution will be used toward the renovation of the YWCA facility and to support the programs that serve over 9,000 people annually.
Also, if you or someone you know was a YWCA member, we invite you to attend this special evening as we recognize the Homecoming of Members in celebration of 92 years of service to you and the community.
For more information and to purchase tickets for this event, please contact me with any questions at 610-876-8226.
Sincerely,
Sharon Fluellen-Flynn
Board President
