SUMMER COMPUTER CAMP OFFERS YOUTH THE OPPORTUNITY TO MOVE
From The Classroom To The Boardroom

The Philadelphia Chapter of the Black Data Processing Associates (BDPA), in conjunction with the BDPA 25th Annual National Conference, is seeking high school students entering grades 9 ?12 to participate in this year?s BDPA Youth Summer Computer Camp (YSCC) at the Center City Marriott Hotel, Philadelphia, PA

On August 13 -15 from 8AM to 5PM daily, students will participate in interactive workshops and seminars by which they will gain valuable exposure to leading-edge technology with a focus on such Youth and IT topics as Youth Entrepreneurship, Artificial Intelligence in the 21st Century Workplace, Interviewing and Resume Writing, Introduction to Java, Designing a Website: Start to Finish, The Internet and Web-based Applications and Goal Setting and College Selection, Making Sure Your Net Works, The Real World: After High School, Designing a Web Page, Using PowerPoint for School Presentations, Interviewing and Resume Writing, Effective Communication Skills, Marketing Strategies for Music or Video Games, and PC Building Workshops.

This 3-day Youth Summer Computer Camp will include breakfast and lunch daily, computer camp bag and promotional items, and networking opportunities with young entrepreneurs, IT executives and individuals from all across the country who are pursuing academic and professional futures in the computer technology industry.

The registration fee for this exciting growth opportunity is just $150.00 per student.

A College Expo will also be held, providing valuable insights on such topics as ?How to choose a college? and ?How to Apply for Financial Aid and Scholarships. At the Information Technology (IT) Showcase, youth will view exhibits based on advanced computing topics presented by their peers. Parents are invited to purchase tickets to attend the Awards Banquet on Saturday night to be followed by separate Youth and Adult Dances.

BDPA will host its 25th Annual Conference in the founding city of Philadelphia on August 13-17, 2003 at the center city Marriott Hotel.
