Youth Service Project Grants – Jan 1

The Karma for Cara Foundation was established by 21-year-old Cara Becker and her family while Cara was being treated for leukemia; the foundation provides assistance to young citizen leaders nationwide.
To that end, the foundation invites applications for its micro-grant program, which will award micro-grants of up to $1,000 to students 18 years of age and younger to complete projects that benefit their communities. Micro-grants are intended to serve as a bridge between ideas and action that assist young citizen leaders in executing and magnifying their initiatives to help repair the world. Examples of eligible projects include transforming a vacant lot into a community garden, rebuilding a school playground, or helping senior citizens ready their home for winter.
If applying on the behalf of an entire class or student group, the foundation requests that applicants designate a maximum of three student leaders to be the main points of contact for the project.
Application deadline: January 1, 2022
