Grant: Youth Organized for Disaster Action
Grants to schools to organize youth teams that connect disaster mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery to their classroom curriculum.
Funder: Institution for Global Action and Service-Learning.
Eligibility: Schools in Alabama, Delaware, Georgia, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and South Carolina.
Deadline: Jan. 31.
Amount: Maximum award of $5,000 for the first year and $10,000 for the next two.
