Youth Mentor (Part-Time), Educators 4 Education

Educators 4 Education (E4E) is looking to hire a passionate and experienced individual for the Keys to Success Intensive Mentoring Program. All candidates should have a minimum of 2 years’ experience working with urban (at-risk) youth.

Youth Mentor part-time 20 hours a week: will manager a caseload of 15-17 participants and performs a variety of referral functions related to services for “at risk” adolescence ages 13-19. Work includes performing case management weekly case progress notes, transportation to local activities, assessing client and family needs, developing an appropriate service and/or goal plan, developing group activities, providing on-going counseling and referral services and/or determining appropriate in the best interests of the participant. This work requires significant understanding of urban youth. Daily contact with individuals, their families, representatives of various private and public welfare agencies, representatives of professional and community groups, and the public is of major significance to the work, to provide support and linkages to families of participants struggling with concrete needs. High School diploma required or Equivalent required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

The employer for this program is Educators 4 Education for which you will be a contracted employee once hired. All candidates must be at minimum 21 years of age. As an E4E contracted employee, you will be required to attend a mandatory orientation and 20 hours of training annually. Preference is given to candidates who have prior experience working with at risk youth.

All E4E employees and contracts must be able to obtain a PA Child Abuse Child Abuse Clearance, PA Criminal Clearance and an FBI Clearance Fingerprint Clearance and have a Valid driver’s license. Transportation of clients is a requirement and applicant must have access to a reliable, insured vehicle. Minimum auto insurance Bodily Injury Liability requirements are $100k per person and $300k per accident.
