Urban Technology Project Recruiting Youth I.T. Apprentices for 2013-2014 year

The Urban Technology Project, a joint initiative between Communities in Schools of Philadelphia, Inc. and the School District of Philadelphia, empowers Philadelphia youth and their communities through technological education and guided school-to-work experiences. The Urban Technology Project is comprised of the Digital Service Fellows (DSF) AmeriCorps Program and the Computer Support Specialists Information Technology (IT) Apprenticeship Program.

The DSF Program is a yearlong opportunity for recent Philadelphia high school graduates and GED-earners who are interested in gaining valuable information technology (I.T.) skills and in serving their communities. Digital Service Fellows serve in schools throughout the District, providing technical support to teachers, staff and students and instructing teachers, parents and community members how to incorporate technology into their lives.

The DSF Program is recruiting 17 to 24 year old high school seniors, recent high school graduates and GED-earners to serve as Fellows for the 2013-2014 year.
