Youth Engaged in Service (YES) Ambassador
Posted by on May 28, 2004
Each year the Points of Light Foundatoin selects 8-10 organizations to host a Youth Engaged in Service (YES) Ambassador. The program places community-minded young people ages 18-25 for one year with statewide, regional (multi-state) or national leadership organizations in order to create initiatives and partnerships and provide technical assistance and training in youth service, service-learning and youth leadership. The Foundation looks to partner with both organizations that have a history of involvement in the youth and community service fields, as well as organizations that engage young people in meaningful service to the community, as a means to achieve other desired outcomes (e.g. prevention, community building, advocacy, etc). Successful applicants are those who are building opportunities and infrastructure, which support the involvement of young people in community problem solving.
Applications are due by 5 PM EST on Friday, June 18, 2004.
For more information, and to receive a proposal packet, contact Sarah Dudley, [email protected].
