Job Corps Information Sessions
The Youth Empowerment Program in collaboration with the local Job Corps Admission Counselor is hosting a series of information sessions for young adults, ages 16 through 24, at the Human Services Center – 1430 DeKalb Street, Norristown, PA.
November 3rd – 10:30 AM
November 17th – – 10:30 AM
December 8th – 10:30 AM
December 15th – 10:30 AM
Job Corps offers youth an opportunity to learn a trade. In addition to a high school diploma program and a GED program, Job Corps helps youth in getting a job. Some of the vocational training programs offered are:
· Brick Masonry
· Office Technologies
· Carpentry
· Computer Repair
· Culinary Arts
· Electrician
· Dental Assistant
· Facilities Maintenance
· Medical Assistant
· Pharmacy Tech
· Nurse Assistant
· Painting
· Security
· Welding
