Temple University’s Sport Industry Research Center (SIRC), in partnership with Meeting Planners International and the Professional Convention Management Association student chapters, is proud to announce the inaugural “Research meets Practice” Symposium focusing on “Youth Development through Sport and Recreation”. This event will bring together people interested in youth development and sport from a variety of perspectives. Attendees will include scholars and students of sport, recreation, child and youth development, health, education, social work, psychology, and related fields as well as non-profit leaders and staff, entrepreneurs, philanthropists, community leaders, program managers, and all others interested in youth development through sport participation. The purpose of the “Research meets Practice” Symposium is to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and experience of various professionals and experts who work in the field of youth development and/or youth sport and recreation. This will be a unique and valuable opportunity for professional networking and provide a platform for discussion of current research, local best-practices, funding opportunities, and more!
