Youth Development Certificate Program
Posted by on August 3, 2009
Are you interested in effectively serving the needs of urban youth?
The Youth Development Certificate Program at the Center for Urban and Youth Development at Eastern University addresses the critical needs of both youth and youth workers. Lay people and professional youth workers need the skills and foundation to support youth in making a successful transition to adulthood. This certificate, which can be completed in as little as one year, is designed to provide both the essential knowledge and skills for the urban youth worker. The four classes (8 credit hours) that make up this certificate program may be taken as either non-credit or for credit by students pursuing a graduate or undergraduate level degree. This is a great opportunity to gain a professional youth worker credential. The certificate is offered in partnership between Eastern University and the Federation of Neighborhood Centers.
Generous scholarships are available through the Federation of Neighborhood Centers and the Pennsylvania Child Care Association!
Classes begin August 26th! There is still time to apply for the Youth Development Certificate. For more information or to download the application click here.
