Young Hearts 2014 for young people

Congreso de Latinos Unidos is hosting a teen event “Young Hearts 2014” that is happening on Thursday, February 13, 2014 from 4-6 pm @ Congreso in the Multipurpose room on 2800 Somerset Street. Please forward this to your networks as well to help us promote this event. Afterschool and youth programs are welcome.
Its free, open to the public (ages 12-20) and will be complete with a DJ, Food, Graffiti Artists, Breakdancing, Workshops on Safe Dating, Raffles, and oriented and fun photo booth. Our focus is bringing awareness about healthy and safe dating relationships (and non-violent ones) in a fun, “party” atmosphere.
To encourage everyone to begin thinking about healthy relationships prior to the event, and to also spread the word we began an Instagram contest (open to everyone, not just teens) and are asking people to submit a photo or video that somehow answers the question “What is a healthy dating relationship?” and hashtag it with #YoungHearts2014 and follow our instagram account @ Young_Hearts_2014. Winner will be chosen from the top 4 submissions with the most likes to receive a Mini IPad at the event on February 13, 2014.
