U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation Invites Applications for Entrepreneurs Academy Grants
DEADLINE: SEPTEMBER 26, 2014
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit affiliate of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce that works to strengthen America’s long-term competitiveness by addressing developments affecting the United States, its economy, and the global business environment.
The foundation has announced that it is accepting applications in support of the recently launched Young Entrepreneurs Academy. Grants of up to $2,500 will be awarded to local Chambers of Commerce that are members of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and would like to bring the program to their communities. Through the twenty-seven week program, students in grades 6-12 generate business ideas, conduct market research, write business plans, pitch to a panel of investors, and launch their own companies. From local business guest lecturers to field trips to local companies, students learn how to develop and run a real enterprise in a fun, projects-based environment.
To be eligible, applicants must be U.S. Chamber of Commerce members as of September 26, 2014.
For complete program guidelines and application instructions, visit the Young Entrepreneurs Academy website.
