The Philadelphia Writing Project Needs Your Help!!
The Philadelphia Writing Project is partnering with Temple University, the University of Pennsylvania and the School District of Philadelphia to operate a Writing Center at West Philadelphia High School, 4800 Walnut St.
We are in need of committed people— who enjoy teenagers, writing and talking about writing—to tutor students in grades 9-11 between the hours of 9 AM and 3 PM. Tutors who are committed to writing and literacy are needed to work a minimum of 3 hours a week, Monday through Friday for a whole semester under the supervision of an appointed Philadelphia teacher and the Philadelphia Wriring Project in September. The Philadelphia Writing Project and Temple University will provide training and on-going professional development.
