Advancing Community Food Security: Writing More Successful CFP Grant Proposals

The Appalachian Center for Economic Networks (ACEnet) has been awarded a training and technical assistance (T&TA) grant from the USDA Community Food Project (CFP) to assist other nonprofits in improving their CFP grant writing skills and ensuing award success rates. The intense, two-day training event will focus primarily on selecting and planning effective CFP projects and translating those projects into fundable proposals.
The training event will utilize ACEnet?s history of successful CFP grant writing and project evaluation and over 11 years of experience on food security issues especially in regards to local branding, farmers? markets, community gardens/edible school yards, gleaning, and kitchen incubation.
