Workshops support Montco parent advocates
The Mental Health Association of South Eastern Pennsylvania will present a free four-week series of educational workshops for parents and caregivers who want to learn how to become their child’s best advocate with the systems that serve children and adolescents in Montgomery County.
Participants will learn how to advocate for their children services by the behavioral health, special education, drug and alcohol, juvenile justice, developmental disabilities, early intervention and children and youth systems.
Workshops will be held every Tuesday evening from April 13th to May 4th from 6-8pm at the Montgomery County Intermediate Unit, 1605 West Main Street in Norristown. The workshops are free and a light meal is provided.
Pre-registration is required. Call Lisa Novick at 610-279-8511 ext. 113 or email her at [email protected].
