WCRP discusses working with a general contractor
The Women’s Community Revitalization Project will present a workshop for nonprofits on Working with a General Contractor on Thursday, October 22nd.
An experienced former general contractor will cover how to negotiate price with a contractor, checking references, when (or should) you provide an advance payment for services, types of construction contracts, “prevailing wage” contracts, and much more.
The free workshop will take place from 1-3:30pm at 300 N. 3rd Street (NW corner of 3rd Street and Fairmount Avenue). Free off-street parking is available. PQAS credits for child care programs are also available.
