Impact Prize invites applications for workforce innovation
Supported by the Iovino Family Foundation and managed in partnership with Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors (RPA), the new $1 million Impact Prize invites applications.
The initiative aims to amplify the work of those at the forefront of workforce innovation, and in its inaugural year, the prize will feature those taking action to drive positive change in the rapidly evolving economic landscape: the problem-solvers and innovators bridging gaps by increasing access to family-sustaining wages, career progression, and social mobility for people from all backgrounds.
The prize will award organizations with a proven track record of improving economic mobility for individuals from diverse backgrounds through innovative workforce development and technical training initiatives. Given to up to three organizations, the one-time award will total $1 million for general operating support.
Organizations demonstrating innovation or sustained excellence in one or more of the following programmatic priorities are encouraged to apply: design and deliver workforce development programs that effectively train and place individuals from diverse backgrounds in career sectors offering clear pathways to wage growth and overall career advancement opportunities; increase access, demand, support, and participation in workforce development training programs; and focus on meeting targeted specific regional employment needs within an organization’s local workforce development geography, including programs in rural areas.
To be eligible, applicant organizations must be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit with an annual operating budget of less than $5 million for at least two of the last four fiscal years.
For complete program guidelines and application instructions, see the Impact Prize website.
