Workforce Development Specialist, Wash Cycle Laundry
Posted by Business Outreach Center Network on October 10, 2016
I’m pleased to say that the Business Outreach Center Network (a Brooklyn-based nonprofit), in collaboration with Wash Cycle Laundry, has been awarded a major grant from the US Department of Health and Human Services to support job creation and workforce development for low-income and other vulnerable job-seekers, with an emphasis on formerly-incarcerated “returning citizens.”
As part of this grant, BOC and Wash Cycle are now seeking to hire a Workforce Development Specialist, to be embedded within Wash Cycle Laundry’s management team in Philadelphia, to lead the partnership and develop our workforce, training, and professional development programs in collaboration with a range of community partners.
The full job description is available here.
I think this is a rare opportunity to shape a growing social enterprise’s strategy to create upwardly-mobile career pathways for returning citizens, and I’m really eager to welcome somebody to the team who can provide this service. If you know of anybody who might be interested in this position, please send them my way!
