On May 6, 2009, WOMEN’S WAY will host the 32nd Annual Powerful Voice Awards (formerly, the Annual Event). This year’s theme, Making News, Making Noise, examines the role of women in the news media, explores women’s roles as newsmakers and commentators, and looks at how new media has affected women’s involvement. The 2009 Powerful Voice Awards is an opportunity for the Greater Philadelphia region to come together to celebrate women’s progress while focusing on the challenges that remain.
