Women’s Transportation Seminar, Student Chapter – Resume Workshop, Nov. 2
Posted by WTS Philadelphia on October 29, 2019
The goal of the WTS (Women’s Transportation Seminar) – Student Chapter is to foster and develop students’ interest in the field of transportation via professional development programs, networking events, internship opportunities, and most of all academic scholarships. WTS will be hosting a Resume Workshop, on November 2, 2019, 1-3 PM at STV (1818 Market Street, 9th Floor) for both college and university students and high school upperclassmen members of WTS’s youth mentoring program, Transportation YOU. This is a free event for students. RSVP by October 30.
Transportation YOU is a hands-on, interactive, mentoring program that offers young women ages 13-18 an introduction to a wide variety of transportation careers. Through the program, WTS chapters work to make a difference in the lives of young girls by offering programs and activities that will spark their interest in all modes of transportation and encourage them to take courses in math, science, and technology, which are the stepping stones to exciting careers that can change the face of the transportation industry.
