Location: University of the Arts
Description: Candy Depew started her Studio School of Decorative Art in remembrance of her father. Now, the teacher, sculptor, and silk screen artist is currently working on her PhD dissertation and running her combined silk-screen studio and school, gallery showroom, and international residency project right here in Philadelphia. Candy will share her story and discuss the influence of artists on culture and society, and her experience working in the nexus between art, academia, and business. She will also showcase some of her artwork and lead a silk screening demonstration.
Attendees will have the opportunity to voice their business issues, brainstorm solutions, and build supportive relationships. Come out to network with other women entrepreneurs and to learn about this exciting local business!
The event will take place at Connelly Auditorium on the 8th floor of Terra Hall at the University of the Arts, 211 South Broad Street. To RSVP, follow the enrollment instructions below or call Veronica Perez at 215-427-9245.
