In celebration of our 90th anniversary, Region III Women’s Bureau will host a Women Working Together – Writing the Next Chapter of HerStory event that will feature prominent women leaders in Philadelphia. This event takes place in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on April 25, 2011. This event will bring together woman leaders to reflect on the challenges Philadelphia working women have had in the past, and to discuss our present areas of concern, and build hope for our future.
The Women’s Bureau was created by congress in 1920, the same year women were granted the right to vote. It is the only federal agency exclusively mandated to serve and promote the interests of working women.
We hope you can make it!
