NLC Women in Municipal Government Leadership Award Nominations Due September 28
National League of Cities is inviting nominations for its Women in Municipal Government (WIMG) constituency group Leadership Award, which are due by September 28, 2009. The award recognizes female municipal officials for unique and outstanding leadership in local government. Nominees must be female elected officials who have been actively involved with NLC or a state municipal league, are from an NLC member city, have served in municipal elected office for at least four years, and are nominated by a colleague, constituent, or organization.
