Witnesses to Hunger in Camden

Ten mothers and grandmothers from Camden, New Jersey are the newest members of Witnesses to Hunger. While Camden has been portrayed as a dangerous, poverty stricken city, the Camden Witnesses share their own perspective through the lens of hope, resilience, and determination. The pictures of their communities, children, and homes paint a picture of the strengths as well as the needs of Camden.

The photographs, along with quotes from the women, will be exhibited from September 18th – 21st at Gallery Eleven One, located at 339 N. Front Street, Suite B, Camden, New Jersey.
The exhibit will be on view at the following times:
Wednesday, Sept 18th – 1:30 to 7:00
Thursday, Sept 19th – 5:00 to 9:00
Friday, Sept 20th – 5:00 to 9:00
Saturday, Sept 21st – 12:00 to 5:00
On Thursday, September
19th from 5:00 – 9:00 pm the Center will be hosting a reception for the exhibit. Camden Witnesses will be in attendance to discuss their photographs and their experiences. RSVP for the reception here.
