Winter Soup for K-12 education
Posted by PhilaSoup on February 19, 2018
PhilaSoup is a Philadelphia-based non-profit organization that provides micro-grants to teachers to fund classroom projects. We do this by hosting quarterly community soup events. Three times a year, we invite members of the community to come together over a simple bowl of soup (and other tasty treats!) and hear pitches from three teachers who have ideas in need of funding. The attendees vote on whose project they like the best and the winner receives the largest portion of the grant (second and third place winners receive money, too!)
Our Winter Soup is Sunday, February 25, 2018 from 11 AM to 1 PM at the Maas Building, 1325 North Randolph Street.
Join us for a wellness themed brunch! Let’s beat the winter blues together by sipping soups, sharing school stories, developing self-care plans, and learning about three new school projects that need our help to get funding! All ticket sales and donations go directly to supporting these inspiring educators and making impactful projects happen their respective school communities.
