Winter Solstice Celebration
Join TransitionTownMedia.org for a rich and soulful celebration of the Winter Solstice
Sunday, December 18th, 2016, 7 – 9 pm
at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Delaware County
145 W. Rose Tree Rd, Media.
Why celebrate solstice? No matter what we believe, renewing connections with each other and with the world around us brings deeper meaning to the season. Celebrating the natural shift from darkness to light helps cut through all the typical holiday commercialization and emotional roller-coastering.
TTM’s Winter Solstice Celebration includes and transcends cultural differences by weaving them together into a unique and joyful inspirational journey filled with spirited music by:
- Philly jazz great, Dave Posmontier,
- legendary percussionist, Doc Gibbs
- the Solstice Singers
- didgeridoo player Harold Smith.
Come raise up your body, mind, and spirit with:
- Nobel Peace Prize Candidate Jonathan Granoff‘s Sufi wisdom,
- mindful meditation with Rhon Fabian, and personal
- Inspirational Movement with Alexa Drubay
- trans-denominational minister Rev. Dr. Joni Carley.
