What’s Next in the Arts? Creative Conversation Symposium 2019, Oct. 26

Posted by Emerging Arts Leaders: Philadelphia on October 15, 2019

Emerging Arts Leaders: Philadelphia’s 7th Annual Creative Conversation, October 26, 2019, 11 AM to 3:30 PM at Drexel University’s URBN Annex, 3401 Filbert Street, Philadelphia, PA 19104.

The Creative Conversation is an annual advocacy, professional development, and networking event that happens across the country, hosted by different Emerging Arts Leaders chapters, under the auspices of Americans for the Arts. Emerging Arts Leaders: Philadelphia hosts our city’s contribution this year with a keynote address by Stanford Thompson, Founder & Executive Director of Play On Philly. Using the story of Play On Philly’s impact, Stanford will challenge conventional thinking, action and impact throughout the arts sector and encourage our artists and arts leaders to take the path less traveled. Stanford’s keynote might be of particularly interest to those committed to building strong partnerships with area schools.

This event is a great opportunity for emerging artists, arts administrators, and arts supporters to come together to discuss the most pressing issues affecting the arts in our communities. Attendees will be able to network and share their thoughts over lunch and during breakout sessions on the following topics: arts entrepreneurship, technology in arts education, and wellness and burnout in arts organizations.

Tickets are available through ealphila.org or directly at ccphilly2019.eventbrite.com. Questions? Contact Craig Getting at [email protected].
