PEC releases new policy brief on homeless students
The People’s Emergency Center has released its latest policy brief, What Do We Know About America’s 1 Million Homeless Students? Part I: Comparing Data from the Education for Homeless Children and Youth Programs in Pennsylvania and in the United States.
This brief is intended to help the newly-created Pennsylvania task force on homeless education achieve its legislated mandate to study the homeless child population and their educational needs. Advocates expect that this task force can set the agenda for current and future homeless education services.
