Welcoming Economies Global Network Convening
Posted by Welcoming Economies Global Network on August 22, 2016
This October, leading innovators in immigrant economic development will gather for the 4th annual Welcoming Economies (WE) Global Network Convening here in Philadelphia.
With over 350 attendees from nearly two-dozen cities who are pursuing new strategies to welcome immigrants to rebuild central cities and spark regional economic growth, the WE Convening will demonstrate the growing energy and momentum in these local practices.
The 2016 Convening is hosted by the Welcoming Center for New Pennsylvanians, the City of Philadelphia Office of Immigrant Affairs, and WE Global Network.
We are honored to announce the WE Global Network 2016 Convening keynote address will be delivered by Osagie Imasogie.
Philadelphia’s Osagie Imasogie, originally from Nigeria, is a contributor to a profound national phenomenon. He is an accomplished immigrant entrepreneur and founder of an innovative venture capital firm where his ingenuity and passion are producing jobs, fueling industries, and growing the economy.
Osagie has distinguished himself throughout the Philadelphia region with his many business, philanthropic, and community pursuits, including providing counsel to other immigrant entrepreneurs who will follow in his footsteps and propel the region forward.
