Welcome Center Supervisor (WCS), The Salvation Army Eastern PA & Delaware
Location/Dept.: Ray & Joan Kroc Corps Community Center, Philadelphia PA
Availability: Immediate
Schedule: Full Time- Must be willing and able to work weekends, evening’s and holidays as will be required in performance of duties or as requested to support the ongoing operations of the Kroc Center.
Reporting Relationship: Sales and Marketing Manager
Salary Grade: 74
Position Description: The Welcome Center Supervisor will provide leadership to the member service associates and concierge. The WCS will provide the highest level of customer service to prospects and center members/guests related to facility and member information, enrollment procedures, ongoing customer satisfaction and membership recruitment and retention. Provide direction, supervision and oversight of activities at the service desk during shift including, but not limited to, opening and closing procedures, answering phones, using overhead intercom as needed, guest/member check in, lost and found, tours, front desk responsibilities. Have complete knowledge of facility staff, services and hours of operation. Be proactive and responsive to all inquiries at the service desk. Train, cross-train and re-train all associates on job related functions.
Requirements: High school diploma or GED required, Bachelor’s degree preferred. 2-3 years experience in sales, reception and computer skills experience required. Must maintain a professional attitude and approach to problem solving. 2-5 years supervisory experience preferred. Must possess excellent sales, guest/customer service skills. Must possess or have the ability to learn Microsoft Word, Excel, Lotus Notes and CCMS software. Must possess excellent interpersonal communication skills. The ability to multi-task is required. Must be able to stand for length of shift (generally 3-8 hours at a time); Able to function in a fast-paced, frequently changing work environment. Must be able to read, write, and communicate clearly in English. Must be able to function effectively without supervision. Must be CPR and First Aid Certified (within 90 days). Must have a valid Driver’s License. Must have an understanding of and appreciation for the Mission of The Salvation Army.
